Thank you for choosing Integral Acupuncture and welcome to the clinic.
We look forward to partnering with you to address your health concerns. The trust and confidence you have placed in us is appreciated and rest assured that our goal is to achieve the most successful possible result and ensure that you realize your treatment goals and optimal long term wellness.
For your first visit you will need to bring your completed intake forms, a list of any medications or supplements you are taking and any copies of relevant lab results or doctors notes.
During the first visit the Chinese Medical Physician will conduct an interview and physical assessment to determine a diagnosis and plan of care. Traditional Chinese Medicine arrives at these conclusions through the careful consideration of information differently than Western Medicine. Some of the questions may seem specific to your main complaint while others may seem unrelated. The more complicated the main complaint the more in depth you can expect the interview to be.
One or more of the basic modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine may be included in your plan of care and treatment on your initial office visit including acupuncture, moxa therapy, cupping, gua sha, tui na (Chinese medical massage) and herbal prescription.
During needling there may be a small amount of brief initial discomfort but most clients report a feeling of deep relaxation, mild euphoria and profound wellness. While returning to work after a session is fine most clients prefer the option to enjoy a time of quiet resting after their initial visit to Integral Acupuncture. Tea and comfortable seating will be provided both before and after treatment.
